Out of the many places I’ve gotten to experience, Australia would have to be one of the favorite places I’ve been to. Even though it was just a trip to go racing, my family and I also got to visit many new places, meet new people, and experience “racing” life Australian style.
The two main places we went were Perth and Sydney Australia. As I am not a big city fan, Sydney was my least favorite place of all. It didn’t help much that we were there on New Year’s Eve, when everyone crowded the city to watch the fireworks off the bridge.
My family and I got to stay two weeks in Sydney. There we went to the races, laid around on the beach, and experienced a new life style there. Yes, racing and laying on the beach was amazing, but I was so glad to leave the city.
Perth was the second main place we visited. This was my favorite place out of all time in Australia. Sorta reminded me of home, not so crowed, open fields, and wild animals running freely. Now we may not have kangaroos running around here in the U.S. like they do. While on the Perth side we went on a few tours over there. We went on a tour of Fremantle Prison and the Busselton Jetty.
Yes it may of been a trip to go to the races, but it was way more than that for me. I am grateful enough that I got to experience the things I did with my family. If I was you and wanted to get out of the U.S. and travel and have not been to Australia. GO THERE! The people are kind, the scenery is beautiful and it’s a whole different world over there.
